United for Youth
United for Youth is an initiative working to build assets in youth so that they will become more responsible, successful, and caring. The Search Institute of Minneapolis has identified 40 developmental assets that support those desired qualities in youth and have divided them into eight main categories:
- Support
- Empowerment
- Boundaries & Expectations
- Constructive Use of Time
- Commitment to Learning
- Positive Values
- Social Competencies
- Positive Identity
The United for Youth initative is led by a Board of Directors comprised of community members and professionals representing the faith community, mental health, the medical community, business, law enforcement, court services, education, extension, youth and citizens. It receives 100% of its funding from Wright County Family Services Collaborative.
